Lockdown Learning Time
Even though our BestStart Tauranga Central children weren’t able to attend daycare during lockdown, our teachers worked hard to engage with them online and provided lots of fun learning activities for them and their families to try at home. We scheduled regular facetime chats with the children to make it easier for them to transition back to daycare when they were able to, and we loved seeing pictures of what our families were doing to pass their time. At BestStart Tauranga Central, we believe in the saying “it takes a village to raise a child”, even when that village is socially distant.
