We celebrated our first cultural festival of the year 2021 - Lohri (which is primarily celebrated in the Punjab region of the Indian subcontinent by Sikhs and Hindus).

Celebrating our diverse cultures are an integral part of our curriculum as we not only intend to respect and uphold our tamariki (children's) cultural identity but also make all our children develop respect and understanding about other cultures and develop appreciation of the different ways people celebrate their culture.

Our children and teachers came dressed up in their cultural outfits. One of our kaiako (teacher) cooked the traditional semolina halwa that everyone got to enjoy. Children were also informed about the significance of the day followed by some Punjabi dance and music by both our children and teachers.
