Loving Summer!

At BestStart MacDonald Street, we ensure that our days are filled with fun and what better time to enjoy some water play than in this gorgeous Summer we are having. Sometimes we wonder who has more fun, the children or the teachers. We use our Kiwi ingenuity to create togs using centre cleaning resources.  As you can see our awesome GG is modelling the 2021 rubbish bag version. 

Every day brings something new and we believe in fostering a sense of belonging, not only for our children and whanau but for our teachers as well. The children love cheering their teachers on and encouraging them to be brave (kia maia) to try new things especially when conquering the water slide. 

The relationship strand in Te Whāriki emphasises the need for relationships between teachers, children and families that generate feelings of respect, support, trust, warmth and encouragement and at BestStart MacDonald Street we have amazing teachers who demonstrate this daily.
