Making a hangi
Recently one of our children was very busy in the science area working with the Hangi kit. I asked if i could join in and he said 'yeah sure". I really like the way he showed me step by step how to make a hangi. He chose the stones for the food and talked me through the process.We also talked about how healthy a hangi is because of how it is cooked and what goes in it and this links to our healthy heart initiative as we talk about aspects of healthy food and hauora. When he had finished he was very proud of his hangi!
