The tamariki had a wonderful opportunity to help construct birdhouses to go in the large playground/garden at BestStart Epsom. The children regularly put birdseed in the bird feeders in the playground and want to make some birdhouses for them to lay their eggs in Spring and have somewhere safe to live. After the teachers supported them building the birdhouses, they then decided on where to put them in the garden.
