Making the world a better place
With the mission of 'making our world a better place' I haere koutou ki Te Mete Park (we went to Te Mete Park) and did a rubbish hunt with some of ngā tamariki for Clean up NZ week.
At the playground we found some rubbish (rāpihi) and decided to be tidy kiwis and pick it up. It was great to see ngā tamariki so enthused to help out and contribute to cleaning up their community. And of course we couldn't continue without a play at the playground and then a run around at the field!
Along the way we talked about the right thing to do with rubbish, and where it should go. Once we got back we did the right thing and put it into the bin to go to the landfill.
