Manawatia a Matariki
At our centre, we had a great afternoon celebrating Matariki with a puppet show followed by soup, buns and awesome conversations.
Our mokopuna have also been busy creating stars, learning a little bit about Matariki through storybooks, making kites, and singing new waiata.
We have been inspired by whánau feedback and are starting to plan for more events over the next year (This aligns with the star, Hiwa I te rangi).
We are looking forward to reading how whánau celebrate Matariki in our new Matariki journal.
