Over March, we had a lot of fun celebrating the plunket appeal week. We had awesome ways to celebrate this and ways to encourage our tamariki to actively be involved in this cause. A blue light disco was initiated by our children where we dressed up in blue and danced our little hearts out. The teachers also enjoyed a little dance together.

We had a blue baking day where our children helped make blue cupcakes and cookies which they thoroughly enjoyed, especially eating the scrumptious treat at the end of the day.

To finish off our busy fulfilled week, we asked our children to place their gold coins on our blue teddy so they could see where their gold coins were going and more importantly, what our gold coins were for. As April slowly crept in, our children were excited that Easter was coming up and we had a treasure hunt to celebrate with our children.

We made creative bunny tunnel baskets and colored paper eggs were used for the hunt which was a creative way that was enjoyed by all. The fun of it was certainly finding their own colored eggs! This is how we love to celebrate special events at Tironui.
