Mason's last day
When our Tamariki are about to start school, we like to commemorate this by having a small Graduation Ceremony for them on their last day. Of course, we welcome whanau to come in and share in this celebration as well. Mason was asked who he would like at his graduation and he named some of his past teachers and friends who attended. We are thrilled to see they also enjoy wanted to be a part of this celebration. Part of our Graduation preparation is a photo of our tamariki in a special gown, cap and korowai (cloak). We decorate our tree for the week so it is a visual part of our celebrations. We also present them with a small gift and a Be School Ready certificate that acknowledges their highlights, milestones and achievements throughout their preschool years, linking to the NZ School curriculum. Mason was our most recent graduate and starts school this week. Mason has been a part of our centre whanau since he was a wee pepe (baby) in the infant room. (You may have noticed the small video about this on our webpage).
