Matariki at Heuheu
During the month of July, we celebrated Matariki through a range of activities.
A few of the tamariki were able to attend a puppet glow show which depicted the story of Matariki, and the tamariki enjoyed this! We had music, stories, videos and arts and crafts available for the tamariki to create a part of the Matariki story and learn alongside their peers.
Throughout the week, we had some spider plants that our kaiako had been growing over the last few months to pass on to our whanau and tamariki to take care of.
It has been a great month filled with exploration around what is Matariki and how we celebrate this with our tamariki and whanau!
