What a wonderful evening we shared as we came together to celebrate Matariki with our tamariki, whānau, and wider community.

The event was thoughtfully planned and provided meaningful opportunities for whānau involvement from beginning to end. The evening was filled with engaging and interactive performances that encouraged participation from everyone.

It was heartwarming to see our community come together, celebrating the values of connection, reflection, and togetherness that Matariki represents.

A definite highlight of the evening was watching our children perform for their parents and whānau. The confidence, enthusiasm, and pride displayed by the tamariki shone through, creating a truly special moment that will be remembered by many.

There were also a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. Families took part in arts and crafts and were invited to write their hopes and wishes on a special tag to hang on our wishing tree. This activity encouraged reflection and sharing aspirations for the year ahead.

To conclude the celebration, we gathered together to enjoy a shared kai. Families enjoyed a delicious vegetable soup served with warm Māori bread, alongside a wonderful selection of tasty dishes generously contributed by whānau.

It was the perfect ending to a memorable evening of connection, culture, and community.
