Today, our BestStart Borman Road whānau came together to celebrate Matariki, a special and meaningful time in Aotearoa that encourages us to reflect on the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future with hope and gratitude.
Our celebration was filled with moments that truly reflected the values of Matariki. Our tamariki proudly shared beautiful waiata, filling the space with joy, confidence, and aroha. Their enthusiasm and willingness to participate made the occasion even more memorable, and it was wonderful to see them embracing the significance of this important cultural celebration.
Sharing kai together is an important part of bringing people together, and today's meal nourished us in every sense. It provided an opportunity for whānau, tamariki, and kaiako to connect, share stories, and strengthen the relationships that make our learning community so special. The warmth of whanaungatanga was felt throughout the day, reminding us of the importance of belonging, kindness, and caring for one another.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration so meaningful. Your presence, support, and willingness to celebrate alongside us created a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone could feel connected and valued.
Together, we celebrate our shared journey, our diverse community, and the values that unite us.
Kia maumahara tātou, kia manaaki tātou, kia kotahi tātou.
