BestStart Borman Road is located in the heart of the growing Rototuna North community in Hamilton. Our centre provides quality education and care for children aged from birth to 6 years old, extending and supporting their interests and development so they’re ready for the next stage of their learning journey.

We help our children to build their confidence and to challenge themselves. We support them to develop the skills to navigate our rapidly changing world, helping them to be competent and confident learners for life.

We believe that every child is unique, and provide responsive, respectful and unhurried care and education to meet their needs. We have strong connections with our families and home-life which helps to create a sense of belonging and trust.

Building trusting relationship with our children, our families and our diverse community is an integral part of our curriculum. The transition from home to centre life is a smooth and calm process where our teachers work with families to empower and support children to approach new challenges with confidence. It is from a basis of trust that children develop the confidence to challenge themselves, be adaptable, and persist when things don’t quite go their way.

We believe in teaching our children to enjoy challenges. We encourage children to test their ability and strengths as they explore their boundaries. Valuable learning happens when experiencing trial and error and solving problems. We provide opportunities for children to self-assess the level of their physical, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development. This ultimately develops a growth mind set.
