Matariki with BestStart Maui
At BestStart Maui, our vision, see me, know me, grow me, is something we are very passionate about.
We have children from all over the world within our centre and love embracing their different cultural celebrations. In turn, we also like to share our cultural heritage with others, and this week didn't disappoint.
Matariki is a celebration everyone looks forward to, especially the children. We spent the week making stars and reading books about Matariki.
Our families also kindly donated vegetables to the centre, and the children helped the kaiako prepare the vegetables for the soups.
We ended the week with a disco and soup evening, a centre filled with children and their whanau coming together to talk with kaiako about their learning. This is such a wonderful celebration, loved by all.
