Meet the BestStart Ngatai Road Team! (1/2)
My Name Is Debi, I come from the beautiful cape town in South Africa with my two amazing daughters, we have lived in New Zealand since December 2019, and we love our new home. I lived in London for 5 years where I worked as a Nanny, caring for babies from 3 months old until they were around 2. I have a Postgraduate in ECE and Primary Education and have worked with different ages groups in South Africa and New Zealand, but here at Ngatai Road I Have returned to my first love in the Tui room with our beautiful babies. I love watching these little beings blossom during their time in our room. From seeing their Awesome personalities starting to shine, to supporting them as they explore and engage with the world and the people around them. I feel so privileged to be able to share in this incredible journey with our tamariki and their whanau.
Kia Ora, my name is Stacey, I am a teacher here at BestStart Ngatai Road and have been teaching here since 2019. I moved back home to Tauranga after spending some time in Rotorua. I am a fully registered teacher. I have always had a passion for teaching since I was at school, and once graduating from the University of Waikato, I started my teaching journey, and it has led me here. I have a particular passion for working with children over two, but also helping out in our Tui room.
Kia Ora, I am Saffron the Centre Manager at BestStart Ngatai Road. I started my ECE Career fresh out of school in 2000, graduating with my Diploma of Teaching in ECE in 2004. I have worked for Best Start Early Childhood Education for almost 15 years with my knowledge continuously growing. I have had the privilege of working with and alongside amazing whanau and their Tamariki each bringing their own baskets of knowledge and experiences with them. It is an amazing feeling when you get to build relationships with whanau, be a part of their Tamariki's learning and development. In 2016 we decided to move from Auckland to Tauranga and I must say it has been the best decision made thus far. I have 2 boys both attending College, one in his last year while the other has another 2 more years to go. When I am not working most of my time is spent with my family, both my boys are involved in rugby, basketball and kapahaka, which makes winter a very busy time for our whanau.
Hello, my name is Rayne and I am the Centre Administrator here at BestStart Ngatai Road. I started my journey with BestStart in the Tauranga Regional office helping enquiring families enrol in BestStart Centres across NZ. I moved here to the centre in March 2023, The main reason for my move from head office was because my son attends, I thought it would be a good opportunity to be involved with his learning and be able to work at the same time. I was also interested in working in a new environment surrounded by children learning and immersing in play. My role is to help with any administrative or account queries, and to support you and your little one! You may also see me in both the Tui and Titoki room from time to time.
