Meet the nursery team
Lauren
Kia ora name is Lauren and I am the head teacher in the nursery here at Beststart Halswell road. I'm proud to hold a degree of 'Bachelor of Teaching and learning ECE' alongside 7 year's teaching experience at this centre I call home. I am passionate about providing safe, fun and positive learning experiences to support children to learn and grow as the beautiful individuals they are. Teaching our littlest tamariki is my passion! it brings me joy each day working alongside whanau to support the early years as families grow. I feel so lucky to have the best job in the world! I live to be a teacher and a mummy to my young daughter's Brynlee and Rosalie.
Jo
Kia Ora my name is Jo, I have joined the nursery team here at Halswell road in August 2023 after returning from maternity leave. I have been an early childhood teacher for many years graduating in 2012. I hold a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. With a hope to do more study relating to infants and toddlers in the future. I am passionate about working with our youngest Tamariki and enjoy supporting them to reach different milestones along there learning journey. The first few years are such an important time in child’s development I hope by working together with Tamariki and their whanau I can help build them a strong foundation from which to start there learning journey from.
Kokab
Assalamoalaikum my name is Kokab and I am a teacher here at Beststart Haslwell Road nursery. I have been helping as a reliver for many years and I have been working as a permanent teacher in the nursery for 1 year. I love working with children, they bring me happiness especially when I am missing home (Pakistan). I love children’s hugs as they make me feel so loved and happy. It is most important to me to share love with children as this reciprocal trust creates a great bond. I am a proud mum of 5 children who have all grown up in New Zealand, happy ad successful. I look forward to each day learning alongside our youngest children.
