Meet the Team at BestStart Gillies Ave
Kia Ora everyone, we want to use this space to introduce our amazing team.
We're a diverse team of 9 who all come with such experience, cultural diversity, knowledge , beliefs and values.
In our preschool room, we have three permanent teachers. Our head teacher Celine comes with many years of experience in teaching as well as in the centre as she will be celebrating her 10 years at BestStart Gillies Avenue. We have Nape who is also a qualified and fully registered teacher who work alongside Celine. Though Nape may not have been at the centre as long as Celine, she brings different vision and knowledge from working in number of BestStart centres before she settled with us. And lastly, Nithy who is our dear caregiver will also be celebrating her 10 years at BestStart Gillies Avenue in upcoming year. Languages that could be spoken from our team are English, Hindi, Samoan and Sinhala.
In our pepi room, we have three permanent teachers whom are all qualified and registered teachers of New Zealand. Vijayeta, our head teacher leads her beautiful team who bring such diversity and experience to the room. They are very passionate about working along the specific age group and find this the most rewarding experience as they get to watch our pepi grow and achieve new milestones. Languages that can be spoken from our team are English, Filipino and Afrikaans.
Our centre manager Sara is also a qualified and fully registered teacher who helps out both the teams to ensure the quality and safety of all children and teaching team.
We have a beautiful centre admin Thelma who is in charge of all centre admin work and operation and lastly Lee, who cooks the most amazing meals for our tamariki throughout the day. Langugages that can be spoken from our support team are English, Korean and Afrikaans.
