Meet our pet Frog's Merlin and Archimedes.  Over the month at BestStart Tauranga Central, we have had lots of fun, catching flies and other bugs to feed them.  Our conversations and observations on the Frogs have been so much fun, as we watch them jump all over the place and discuss the life cycle of a Frog.  Having pet animals provides children the opportunity to learn values of caring, respect and nurturing others while increasing knowledge and understanding on what animals eat and need to survive.  We are currently in the process of creating our own bug traps outside so that we can continue to care for our Frog's.
