Mexican Fiesta!
Our preschoolers have done an absolutely amazing job at looking after their garden this term! They have been watering the vegetables and keeping an eye on them making sure the black birds stay away and bugs keep out!
To celebrate the success of the food they have grown, our children alongside their kaiako Alecia planned a Mexican fiesta for whanau and friends to enjoy with us! We had our fresh tomatoes, capsicum, courgette, carrots, and onions and made a salsa together!
At kai time our tamariki sat down listening to Mexican music and shared the amazing feast together. It was wonderful to see how proud our children were of their fresh harvest and really understand how exciting it is to grow our own food!
