This month our tamariki have been learning about Papatuanuku (mother nature) and Kaitiakitanga (Caretakers of the earth) and how important it is for us to look after our earth as we also share it with plants and animals. In Toetoe room our tamariki helped to make a garden where they are learning about plants and the process of taking care of them as they water the plants and monitor their growth. Not only with our outdoor plants but our indoor ones too.

In Harakeke room our babies are busy exploring Old Mcdonald had a farm where they are becoming familiar with animals, their sounds and becoming confident at expressing themselves as they name the animals.

We are providing our tamariki with these great learning opportunities as we believe in creating an environment where children are empowered and encouraged to be lifelong learners as we provide them with life skills that will benefit them now and in the future.
