Mother's Day event at Beststart Coronation
BestStart Coronation Road celebrated Mother's Day on May 12 and invited all the ladies in our children's lives including their mums, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and other Whanau. Tamariki knew throughout the week that a special day just for special women was coming up. Throughout the week, teachers were teaching tamariki how to express their love and gratitude via songs and art and craft projects. Children took part enthusiastically in learning and singing waiata, as well as creating a beautiful card with their artwork.
Tamariki eagerly waited for the day of the event. On the special day, the kids got more excited and took the initiative in assisting the teachers with decorating the room, setting up backdrops, making garlands and balloons, as well as tamariki supporting Kaiako in setting up the seats for the event. Furthermore, tamariki were overjoyed to present their Mother's Day cards to their mums and join in the morning tea with their mums.
We want to thank all of the mothers who were able to attend the Mother's Day event. We all appreciated your continuing love, support, and aroha. We are so happy that our Mother's Day celebration was a smashing success and that our entire whanau had a fantastic time!
