Music with Tish
It was a great day for our tamariki as they enjoyed each and every minute with Tish and her music. Hollye's mum Tish gave them a musical feast with her favourite steel drum and a variety of other drums. The session started with Tish introducing each drums to the children. She demonstrated how to play them and also explained about the instrument. She had steel drum, cow bell, big and small drums, Turkish drum and a combination of cow bell and pedal drum. The children were awestruck with the speed with which she played. Eleanora said "That's soooo fast".
The most interesting part was that each of them had a turn to play on the steel drum. They composed and played their own tunes. Their friends joined them with their drums. It was such and lively session and our children learned a lot about music. Thank you so much Tish, for taking some time to teach our young musicians.
It was a great moment of Whanaungatanga of shared experiences, working together and providing our tamariki with a sense of belonging. Thank you once again for your kindness Tish, and for bringing such joy to our children.
