The children at Marne Road Kindy look forward to their weekly Nature Kindy Sessions, as they arrive at Kindy they are buzzing like the bees with excitement to be off on their Nature Kindy morning.

The children had an exciting walk to our local Nature Reserve and find a lovely spot for morning tea, then exploration happens in all areas of the park. The group support each other to take on risk and step outside their comfort zones within the nature space. They have a sense of wonder and discovery in the outdoors as they explore mud, leaves, climbing trees and storytelling using the world around us.

This week we explore the autumn leaves their shapes, colours and sounds as they crunched under foot, floated through the air and changed as well as threw them up in the wind.

The children's imagination came alive as fallen bark become a key to a hidden fairy garden, dinosaurs lived in the bush and under the rocks and branches was an array of bugs and insects.

The children love their forest kindy morning as they demonstrated teamwork, social skills and problem solving through communication and supporting each other in their time at Nature Kindy.
