Nursery enjoying messy play
Our tamariki have been busy exploring and experimenting with messy play this month in the nursery.
Messy-play offers an opportunity to explore through their senses, visual, touch, auditory and taste. In these experiences, they are learning and developing working theories to make sense of their world.
Over the month, we have watched our tamariki tuakana-tenia relationships grow as we welcome more pēpi into the nursery. They have demonstrated manaakitanga and care as they continue to settle into the nursery Whānau.
With the commonwealth games taking place this month, we had our own Te Whāriki events. From the long jump to gymnastics, the tamariki showed great enthusiasm and were keen to get involved.
