Nurturing Well-being: Exploring Physical and Mental Health
Kia ora everyone,
We are excited to share the highlights of this month's activities as we prioritise the holistic development and well-being of our children. Our focus on physical and mental health aligns perfectly with our goal of excelling in the Healthy Heart Challenge. Here's a glimpse into what each age group has been engaged in:
Toddlers: • Engaging in messy play with clay and water, fostering sensory exploration and creativity. • Enjoying playful adventures in the sandpit, developing fine motor skills and imaginative play. • Taking ownership of their own garden, nurturing plants, and learning about nature's wonders.
Preschoolers: • Embarking on an exciting gardening project, cultivating a sense of responsibility, and fostering a connection with the natural world. • Rediscovering the carpentry table, where they have been exposed to new and wonderful tools, encouraging problem-solving and fine motor skills.
Babies: • Emphasizing the importance of mat times, where they have been actively participating and listening attentively to our teachers as they discuss captivating storybooks.
Through these activities, we are nurturing physical development, sensory exploration, creativity, and cognitive skills. We believe that a strong foundation in well-being will empower our children to thrive not only in the Healthy Heart Challenge but also in their overall development. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and engagement shown by our children in these experiences. Their growth and development are a testament to their resilience, curiosity, and the support provided by our dedicated teachers. Thank you for your ongoing partnership as we continue to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for our little ones to flourish.
