Off to Kura they go!
What a busy start to 2023 we've had! It's that time of year where we've had lots of our friends at the Home of the Brave move on to kura and although we miss them, we are super excited for them to go off on their next adventure and on to that next stage of life.
What do graduations at the Home of the Brave look like? They start off by tamariki putting on our very special korowai (something that only happens for graduations). Then tamariki, kaiako and whānau sit together and reflect, looking at ngā tamariki portfolio books and opening a bag full of goodies they can use at Kura. The bag is filled with all sorts of things like; books, a drink bottle, pencils, learning cards, seeds and so many other things. Each tamariki upon graduation are gifted with a very special taonga, something for them to take and treasure as they move forward with their life. At the Home of the Brace we love celebrating our tamariki in this way!
