Here at BestStart Kelvin Grove, we always organise fun activities for our tamariki to participate in during the school holidays. Our Tōtara Preschool room was responsible for planning our term three holiday programme. The Kaiako asked the tamariki what things they would like to do and a group of our four-year-old girls suggested we have a Spa Day. When we asked what happens during a spa day, they said they wanted foot spas and to get their nails done. The Tōtara team decided to get the whole centre involved and we all celebrated the end of the school holidays with a Spa Day on Friday 15th October. We had facials, nail polish, foot spas, massages and even a hair salon. We also had parents contribute by bringing in their foot spas.
