Oh the Places we will go!
Our “Oh the places you will go” vision is in action throughout our day. “Whanaungatanga” is where people work together to achieve a common goal and we see this every day through children actively caring for their friends and the environment. This supports children to build respect for their space and become leaders in their world, increases their mana and internal wellbeing.
Whanaungatanga = Relationship, kinship, sense of family connection – a relationship through shared experiences and working together which provides people with a sense of belonging.
At Beststart Onslow we show whanaungatanga in all that we do and include this as a learning tool for the children who are confident in ensuring their friends are supported and cared for while at the centre.
