What an unforgettable Onam Celebration we had today!
The day was filled with fun, laughter, music, dance, and of course, delicious food.
Despite the heavy morning rain, nothing could dampen the spirit and passion of our families who came together to celebrate. We began with our children’s beautiful traditional welcome and Onam dances, which immediately lit up the atmosphere with joy and energy.
Their smiles and graceful moves warmed everyone’s hearts and set the perfect tone for the day. The celebration continued with incredible contributions from our families. A talented mum from China amazed us with her graceful traditional solo dance, her elegant performance left us all in awe!
Our wonderful Philippine family then raised the energy even higher with a lively rendition of “Waka Waka,” bringing the whole crowd together with excitement and cheer. Following that, a group of Kerala mums filled the room with their voices and dance, sharing traditional
Onam songs that were vibrant, fun, and full of love. After the stunning performances, it was time for some family games! Musical chairs brought out the competitive spirit of our children, mums, and dads, with chocolates awarded to the winners. The laughter and cheers were endless! Then came the limbo challenge where our children, mums, and dads all joined in, keeping the fun alive and the energy high. These games truly set the room on fire with joy and togetherness.
Finally, we gathered to enjoy a feast of delicious food, prepared with love and care, which brought everyone together around the table. It was the perfect ending to a celebration filled with smiles, dancing, and community spirit.
It was truly a memorable Onam celebration for our Jones family, and we are already looking forward to our next big gathering together.
