During the past few weeks the teachers at Best Start Apriana we have been finding new ways to communicate and stay in touch with our families and our lovely tamariki.

All the teachers are regularly sharing ideas and activities that parents can facilitate for children. Teachers have shared links to you tube and other digital resources that can easily be available at home on digital devices to come up with innovative and creative fun activities for children while at home.

Some teachers have shared photos of how they engage with their children at home with artwork, making play dough, setting up various water play activities, baking and so much more. Teachers are still teaching the importance of conserving and recycling by sharing DIY activities with milk cans, empty bottles, tea towels, origami and so on. The teachers have also shared children’s photos of the children to revisit some of the children's favorite moments at daycare.

Our cook also jumped in by sharing lovely recipes for baking keeping in mind the availability of groceries at supermarkets.

Our passionate team have worked together with enthusiasm so that the parents feel supported with ideas and ways of keeping the children engaged in fun ways that also have learning embedded in them.

Parent’s responses to these posts with photos of their children were encouraging and exhibited wonderful whanau engagement. May we all rise over this situation with flying colors and continue our new learning journey at the center soon.
