Oobleck fun experiment

Oobleck fun experiment

Adding a few drops of food colouring to a pile of cornflour encourages the learning of science. Watching food colouring change the cornflour from white to blue was exciting, but the real magic happened when small amounts of water were added.

This transformed the dry powder into a liquid form. However, this was no ordinary liquid. When touched softly and slowly, the gloop would become a liquid, but if you tried to move your hands fast through the gloop, it would become very hard.

Working as a large group of friends has given us all opportunities to practice many different social skills. Waiting for our turn is always one of the hardest skills to master, especially when everyone is having so much fun. Listening to what our friends are saying and asking questions are skills that we all need to understand. Even though there is a lot of learning happening in this one activity, we can't miss out on how much fun we all add experimenting and understanding how things work.
