Our Bunnings Adventure
At BestStart Kaiwharawhara we had a goal to set up a worm farm at our centre - what better place to visit than Bunnings Petone to gather the resources we would need!
We set off on the morning to catch the bus from the centre to Bunnings. Once we arrived we were greeted by the lovely activities organiser who said she would go and find some bits and pieces that the children could have to take back to the centre.
As we walked around Bunnings we got to interact with the lovely staff members who answered our questions about different products at Bunnings and also about all the badges they were wearing. We learnt the biggest badge they wear is the 15% badge as it is important people know that they will beat other shop prices.
We took along some photos of the products we needed to buy and tried to spot them on the shelves. As we did we picked them off the shelf and popped them into the basket.
After sneaking in a quick play on the playground at Bunnings we went and paid for the items we needed and then headed back to the centre on the bus.
