Our Busy Plunket Appeal Week
Every year BestStart hold a Week and this year’s appeal marked an exceptionally busy time for BestStart’s early childcare centres to participate in fun and creative events. At BestStart Manukau we had fun activities such as Bike day, water play fun activities, Face painting, teddy bears picnic, obstacle courses, butter chicken selling to raise funds to be used by week.
On Monday we were having a teddy bear picnic, on Tuesday we had a movie day, Wednesday tamariki enjoyed bike day and we were lucky to have a police officer that day to support us where he talked about all the safety rules when we walk on the road especially on the traffic light. Lastly, on Friday, children, kaiako came in wearing anything blue to show their support towards this event and also enjoyed music and dance.
All the tamariki were engaged in those fun activities and had a great week. This was a great opportunity for all the children to partake in the experience to show their confidence in developing their gross motor skills while they rode their bikes in the car aprk area. All our lovely families/ whanau donated towards our Plunket Appeal. We are grateful to have lovely families like you all and for your support towards our Plunket Appeal week. We were able to raise nearly $350 with your support. Once again thank you so much to all the families.
