Our Camping Adventure!
As part of our holiday programme our tamariki enjoyed their outdoor Camping adventure. Kaiako, whanau and tamariki all helped to set up the tents.
Once the tent were set up, they. rushed to enter and enjoyed snuggling up in their blankets. Children also got involved in setting up a pretend campfire, singing Campfire songs and enjoyed marshmallows with friends while relaxing on a camping chair.
This learning experience generated a lot of discussion among children. It helped children to act out real or anticipated experiences and develop self-help skills.
Our whanau also got the opportunity to be part of their children's learning and had spent quality time at BestStart Flatbush School Road.
