On Friday 27 November 2020, we had our Christmas Concert and Party with the children and families of Beststart Newmarket. Children have been preparing for this great day for the past few weeks. Along with the teachers they decorated the centre and practised their songs to perform in front of their parents. Children were happy to spend a great time on the bouncy castle. They were full of excitement and enthusiasm when the people came to put up the bouncy castle. They waited patiently until it was ready and spend a great time jumping, sliding and bouncing on it before their lunchtime.

We welcomed our families from 2.00 pm and started our party with a Christmas Carol Concert from the children. The children performed happily and confidently and sang “This little light of mine”, “Jingle Bells” and “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. The children’s concert was indeed the absolute highlight of the party! Ka Pai Tamariki! you all performed brilliantly. They put a lot of effort into the concert and it was adorable to see how their faces lit up when they found their parents as the audience! After the performances, we had a Magic show by Justin Case. Then children and their families were equally entertained by the show. It was followed by a shared Christmas afternoon tea. The children had some delicious food whilst spending quality time with their family members and friends.

The atmosphere of the centre eas full of Christmas cheer and there was an abundance of smiles and laughter all around. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Concert, as we know how happy it made us and the little ones. We are very proud of all our children and how confidently they performed. It really was a wonderful occasion for everyone and we look forward to a fabulous New Year ahead.
