This month our impressive infants have been busy and on the go!  Not always on foot but most definitely on the move!

Our infants are growing day by day and not only are their bodies and personalities developing, also their interests emerge!  We watch in amazement as they use props as they are learning to stand, practice their balance and develop coordination.

Their confidence and courage to challenge themselves physically continues to astound us!  We join in with love and laughter as they discover trial and error and cause and effect!  Our smallest explorers are constantly seeking new adventures and developing early concepts of problem solving as they enjoy to post objects, squeeze themselves into small spaces and learn the value of language and literacy.  We know our infants thrive through using all their senses to explore, their faces light up with amazement and awe as they use their touch, smell, taste and hearing through new and exciting experiences.

There have been many new friends join our Huia Iti whanau in June and one of our new mum’s was understandably anxious leaving her five month old baby for the first time and by her second day with us, Mum added a third day.  It is reassuring to our team that our parents and whanau feel their precious ones are safe and secure with us!  There have been some rainy days this month and our confident climbers needed to keep their bodies moving, so we brought some of our outside obstacles inside, to ensure their growing urges to climb were met in safe and responsive ways.

Our team of kaiako are always proud of our tamariki as their confidence grows each day and they always find new ways to amaze us. We feel very grateful to witness the most magical moments that occur every day.  We will be enjoying the next few weeks building new relationships with all our new tamariki and whanau into our BestStart Wolverton Street family.
