Today, we had the pleasure of having Fairy Claire join us for a delightful dance and movement session. The theme for today's session was "Dance like a Machine," which sparked the children's imagination and enthusiasm as they explored different robotic movements and grooved to the rhythm of the music.
During our mat time in the afternoon, we engaged in various interactive activities. We began by revisiting the Letter N, reinforcing our understanding of its shape and sound. The children eagerly participated in letter recognition exercises and practiced forming the letter with their fingers. This allowed them to develop their letter-recognition skills and phonemic awareness.
Following our letter revision, we moved on to our Show and Tell segment, guided by the enthusiastic teacher Hayley. The children eagerly shared their special items, which ignited engaging discussions and storytelling moments. Through Show and Tell, the children developed their oral communication skills, confidence, and the ability to express themselves creatively.
In addition to our letter-focused activities, we took the opportunity to discuss the days of the week and the months of the year. This provided the children with a deeper understanding of time concepts and facilitated their ability to organize and sequence events in their daily lives.
Furthermore, we explored shapes and colors with teacher Dennis, engaging in hands-on activities that encouraged the children to identify, classify, and describe various shapes and colors in their environment. This enhanced their cognitive abilities and fostered their creativity and artistic expression.
