Our delicious Gingerbread men
In the Toddlers Room at Best Start South Road we made Gingerbread men! We have been reading The Gingerbread man story to lots of children who are currently interested in books and especially fairytales. We have been using the ipad to tell the story of the gingerbread man too.
We decided to extend on the children's learning by making gingerbread men with them. The children were learning about maths and science concepts such as measuring accurate amounts for our ingredients and mixing the dough to get the ingredients to combine together. We were turn taking and the children were able to make their own gingerbread man using the shaped cutter. This was so much fun and we will certainly be making more gingerbread men in the future.
