Our Disco Day!
It was a day filled with music and dance at BestStart Newmarket.
All our children and teachers were in their dancing shoes and wore pretty shiny and colourful costumes to move in Rhythm. We explored all the different types of music in their various genres and styles like ballet, hip hop, jamming jazz etc.
It is true that music has no language and boundaries. Children enjoyed the fast Bollywood numbers and the slow Chinese music with equal enthusiasm and energy. But the all-time favourite of our tamariki still remained the evergreen "Baby Shark".
Music and dance help to engage young minds and help them to learn sounds, words and patterns. With dance, they can control their body movements. They also develop listening and social skills, which gives them the confidence to prepare themselves for school.
