Haere ki te whare pukapuka!

A small group of Pūkeko room tamariki went on a trip to the whare pukapuka or library, to join the BestStart Stay and Play group run by our whānau support teacher Kim.

To get to the whare pukapuka we rode in our big stroller. It was very exciting and all the tamariki loved being out in our community looking at and listening to all that was happening around them.

Instilling a love of books and reading is very important to us in the Pūkeko room but I had to laugh when the furniture was the highlight of the trip - not the books!!

The whare pukapuka was full of low chairs and stools and little tables that were irresistible to our explorers and climbers.
