Our excursion to Waltham Primary
Here at BestStart Waltham Kindy, we regularly walk down to our local Primary School - Waltham School - and we have done this again recently. Here are our eight big four year olds ready for their excursion where they got to explore the inside and outside areas of the classroom. This is a great opportunity for the tamariki to become familiar with a primary school environment as they start their transition process of their next education journey to primary school. This is also a part of our ‘Be School Ready’ initiative where children learn skills and abilities that will help prepare them for school such as learning to dress themselves, developing social skills and literacy and numeracy skills. What a fun and exciting school visit tamariki!!
