Kia Ora Whanau!

It has been an awesome first week here at BestStart Faringdon East. Tamariki have spent the week becoming familiar with their new learning environments and getting to know each other as we work together to take care of ourselves and our environment throughout the day.

Tamariki have been actively involved in preparing for kai times and contributing to our sustainable practices such as limiting use of paper towels, food scraps and cutlery.

It has been a lovely week to explore our outside environment through challenging physical play and sensory exploration in the sand pit and water trough.

Together kaiako (teachers) and tamariki (children) have created a daily programme consisting of free play, routine times and contributing to our daily roles and routines as we build warm and reciprocal relationships with each other.

We look forward to welcoming more whanau over the next coming weeks and continuing to create a collaborative environment of kaiako and tamariki working closely together to develop a learning environment which reflects independence, empowerment and excitement!
