Our future All Blacks
We are very lucky in Pleasant Point with having a park right on our doorstep and we really value getting out in our local community. Our wonderful kaiako (teacher) Bridget organised an excursion to our local park to try out our new Rippa Rugby set. The tamariki (children) were very excited to head out on an adventure and along the way there were lots of opportunities for learning about keeping ourselves safe when out and about.
One of our children's dads came along to help us referee the game. We love having our whānau be involved in our centre programme! Once we arrived at the park, we got straight into the fun. First, we had to choose who our captains were going to be for each team and then it was time for the starting whistle to blow. The tamariki showed some great determination and perseverance as each team worked together to get to the try line. Everyone was huffing and puffing by the end of the game, but a great time was had by all. We look forward to our next rugby match and exploring our local community a bit more as the weather begins to warm up.
