Our Healthy Heart Award

Today at BestStart Montel Ave, we had a special visit from our friend Lesley from the Heart Foundation.  She came to present us with our Gold Healthy Heart Award!  

This award is given for creating an environment that promotes healthy eating and physical activity, something we have worked really hard towards for the past year. We are very proud of our efforts and how this positively impacts the well-being of our tamariki!  

Lesley presented our award and then we were gifted some wonderful books, puzzles, gardening gloves and seeds for our garden!  The children are very excited about getting our new plants in this afternoon! Lesley read us a book about all the healthy fruits and vegetables that we eat and our tamariki were able to identify nearly all of them!  

Kai Pai, it is wonderful to see our tamariki having a positive attitude towards healthy eating!
