Our Hikoi through town

1

For our Christmas trip, the pÄ«wakawaka room tamariki went on a excursion into town. We looked at the gingerbread tale Christmas window at Ballantynes. We went on a Elmer elephant hunt and found 14 elephants throughout our hikoi/walk. We stopped for a rest and had a picnic with fluffies at Victoria Square with our teddies and our classroom birds- Percy pÄ«wakawaka and Pickles pukeko.

There was so much to see while out and about in town including mana matahake and pou pou which are our local places of cultural significances and our local river, the Avone river which we talked lots about with our tamariki. The tamariki came back very tired as there was so much to see and talk about but these were our highlights of our trip.
