Our interactive table is awesome!
At BestStart Petone we're all about providing children with many opportunities to explore and make sense the world around them through different mediums.
Our Preschool children and teachers worked together to create this new and and exciting interactive table top for our toddlers in our Forest Room. This has a range of different pulley systems, cranes and movement options for our hands-on learners to explore.
Recently we tried this with gloop (a lovely mixture made from cornflour and water) where the children could mix, tip, fill, pour and explore - so many different options! Through this experience the children are learning aspects of science, colour mixing, maths and creativity. This is just one of the ways we bring enthusiasm and exciting into children's everyday learning experiences.
