At BestStart Bader Street, our children loved investigating and exploring the density of different liquids like vinegar, oil, dye, and water. This activity is linked with our current planning topic of sensory play.

Our children were excited to see the different layers formed and tiny explosions as they dropped oil into the liquid dye. Our tamariki had the opportunity to have this open-ended child-led discovery at their own pace. They also developed their ability to communicate, remain focused, and confident to share their observations and ideas.

Science also helps children develop their senses and overall awareness. Children were given hands-on experience to interact with the environment which supports intellectual development.
