Our kiwi and tuatara experience
At BestStart Cashmere, a large part of our philosophy is our
involvement in our local community. If we don't go out into the community
ourselves, we find a way to bring the local community to us. As an
extension on a recent interest in dinosaurs, we reached out to Willowbank to see what they could share
with us. They were incredible! They brought in some
taxidermized Kiwi's for us to learn from and touch. What an amazing and
special experience to see a kiwi up close and personal. Willowbank
also brought in a live Tuatara! It was amazing for both tamariki and
Kaiako alike to see such a magnificent creature up close. We even experienced
seeing eat his lunch right in front of us.
