Our learning bubbles!
Here at Beststart Dublin Street we are excited to be back and learning with our friends!
At Small World, our toddler and infant space, we have used our bubble time to reconnect and resettle, with many opportunities to engage in the responsive and extended interactions that support the growth of authentic relationships.
After many weeks of containment in our homes we have found the freedom of movement in our outside space exhilarating. Running, climbing, jumping and sliding provide our tinana with the movement we need to gain strength and coordination. In our bubble three 2-year-olds are joined by a 4-year-old friend and watching the tuakana/teina relationships develop has been delightful.
Having a gentle and kind role model is an amazing gift for our toddlers and supplies the sense of continuity for our youngest who have spent so much time with their older siblings while keeping safe in their whaanau bubbles. For our whaanau and kaiako Dublin Street is a safe and caring place that becomes an extension of their homes so returning has been a relief for us all.
