Our Lending Book Library
Over recent weeks two of our teachers at BestStart Greenmeadows have been attending the OLLi programme (Oral Language and Literacy Initiative) which has been invaluable in assisting us to best support our children's love of language and literacy.
This initiative has led us in thinking how to further support our tamariki's love of books and storytelling. We've set up a Lending Book Library where parents and children are welcome to borrow books from the centre to read at home together. This is proving to be very popular and children are learning rich, new words and recalling and retelling their favourite stories.
Here at BestStart Greenmeadows language development is a valued learning priority in the centre, and is a learning area that matters greatly to our parents and community.
